Fine arts festival, farmers market slated for June 6

EAST BRUNSWICK — The East Brunswick Arts Commission and the Fine Arts Festival Committee, in partnership with the Department of Recreation and Parks, will host the 13th annual Fine Arts Festival & Farmers Market on June 6.

The event will be held 10 a.m.-4 p.m. around the pond at the East Brunswick Municipal Complex on Ryders Lane. The event will also be a showcase for artwork by students at the Hammarskjold Middle School.

The daylong event will include up to 70 artists, and there will be demonstrations of glass blowing and bobbin lace. Food trucks will also be on the scene, along with Frank’s Ices and Ice Cream.

The rain date for both events is June 7.

The fine arts festival, which attracts artists from all over the tri-state area, has had more than 400 artists participate over the past 13 years.

A farmers market will also be part of the scene, sponsored by the East Brunswick Environmental Commission and the East Brunswick Green Team.

The farmers market will be located in the courtyard in front of the municipal building.
