Parker open houses draw 230 visitors

On April 24, the public was invited to get an up-close look at the new longterm living community, Parker at Monroe. Nearly 130 people stopped by to meet employees and learn more about Parker’s philosophy and practice of person-directed care. Visitors toured the skilled nursing and memory care residence and community center, and discovered more about Parker’s services and amenities.They were treated to a complimentary lunch, tasted Chef Jason Jankow’s homemade smoothies, and were given a Parker-branded insulated lunch bag as a gift for attending the open house.

Two weeks later, Parker at Stonegate assisted living residence hosted another open house. On May 9, nearly 100 people stopped in to learn more about Stonegate’s amenities and services.They toured the residence and Health and Wellness Center, enjoyed a gourmet lunch in the Pavilion Café, took fitness classes and played games.

Many attendees of both open houses opted to see the award-winning documentary, “Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me,” which is the story of the musical icon’s final nationwide tour and recording session after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
