The Monroe Sports Center’s (MSC) Mid-Jersey Basketball League will begin June 19. Teams will be broken down into divisions based on age and skill level.
Divisions include boys grades 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 and high school, and girls grades 4-6 and 7-9.
Teams can choose to play eight-, 10- or 12-game schedules.
This year’s Summer Basketball League will have East, Central, West and South Divisions. Teams that live too far from the MSC can play games at more convenient locations.
Teams are required to submit a schedule request by June 15.

The Monroe Sports Center Hawks, a developmental AAU basketball team, will be holding tryouts for the summer 2015 season on June 17.
The tryout/evaluation times are boys grades 4-5, 5:45-7 p.m.; grades 5-6, 7:45-9 p.m.; grades 7-8, 7:45-9 p.m.; high school, 7:45-9 p.m.; and girls grades 3-9, 5:45-7 p.m.

The Cougar Basketball Camp at Colts Neck High School will run in two sessions, July 6-10 and July 13-17.
Sponsored by Colts Neck Recreation, the primary emphasis of the camp is the development of fundamental skills through group and individual instruction and game experience. Instruction and drills in fundamentals will be accomplished daily through group lectures, small group drills and fundamental stations. All campers will be grouped according to age, physical maturity, previous experience and overall ability.
Colts Neck High School boys head coach Lou Piccola will direct a staff of high school coaches and high school and college players with previous camp coaching experience. Coach Piccola will be available for individual assistance on a daily basis.
Registration should be made quickly because enrollment is limited to 150 per week. Fees are $190 for one session and $355 for both. Interested campers should confirm availability after June 30.
