PRINCETON POLICE BLOTTER: June 12

A Prospect Avenue resident reported at 9:46 a.m. June 5 that someone had filed fraudulent state and federal income tax returns using his personal information. 

Marco D. Santana, 33, of Trenton, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for $100 from Trenton Municipal Court after police stopped his car on South Harrison Street at 11:29 p.m. June 6. 

A 17-year-old boy was taken into custody at 8:40 p.m. June 6 for possession of marijuana after police found him in a parked car at Community Park North after the park had closed. 

Eileen Menz, 47, of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, was charged with shoplifting and theft by deception on June 8. An employee of the Blue Mercury store on Palmer Square reported that at 2:24 p.m. June 5, Ms. Menz was observed allegedly taking merchandise worth $365 from a store shelf, returning it for store credit and then making a purchase for $190 with the same store credit. She was arrested when she returned to the store June 8. 
 Douglas Hewitt, 33, of Branchburg, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for $176 from Bound Brook Municipal Court after his car was stopped by police on State Road at1:10 p.m. June 5. 

Justino Lopez-Prado, 56, of Lawrence Township, was arrested as a wanted person from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department following a parking violation on Leigh Avenue at 8:22 p.m. June 6. He was taken to the Mercer County Corrections Center. 

Eddie Q. Turner, 29, of Clay Street, was arrested on multiple outstanding warrants totaling $1,600 following a pedestrian stop on Clay Street at 3:52 p.m. June 6. He was also charged with eluding and resisting arrest after a short foot chase. He was taken to the Mercer County Corrections Center on $2,500 bail. 
