After five years as a highly competitive travel team, the East Windsor PAL United U12 girls’ soccer team closed out its final season with a convincing 4-1 win over the Peninsula Extreme Eagles. Scoring for the United were Haley Blank, who found the back of the net twice, while Ava Thomson and Lizzie LeChard had a goal apiece. Assists were provide by Carina Garcia, and Isabel Hulme. Dominating possession throughout the match were Freyja Quinn, Christina Faraca and Lily Gabriello. Defenders Maeve McGowan, Jessica Devlin, Morgan Koppel, Ashley Field and Jamie Seip all held back an aggressive Peninsula attack, while goalkeeper Sophia Szelag made several bold saves.
PRE-CADET
The Green Devils, defeated Team 3, 5-0, as Caden Felton scored in the first quarter on an assist by Jonathan Sosa. Erick Campoverde tallied four goals, while great offensive pressure came from Jacob Kolo, Eric Wiley and Alex Pineda. Strong defensive clearing was provided by by Sumeet Telang, Niko Metter and Patrick Mora, while Colliar Marut played well in goal.
