Light the Night Walk Team Cindy’s Stars, a walk team formed in 2009 in memory of Lucinda Dingman, will sponsor a Dine to Donate Night to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) June 29 at Texas Roadhouse of Old Bridge, 1000 Route 9, Gateway Plaza Shopping Center.
A portion of each supporter’s check will be donated to LLS. In addition, Team Cindy’s Stars will host a raffle and accept cash donations for the cause. Texas Roadhouse will host a Kids Night featuring the restaurant mascot, face painting and other activities for children.
Lucinda Dingman was a lifelong South Amboy/Sayreville resident who succumbed to leukemia in 2009. Since its inception, Team Cindy’s Stars has participated in the LLS Light the Night Walk each year and has raised a total of more than $20,000. This year’s walk will take place Oct. 24 in Long Branch.
LLS is dedicated to finding cures for leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood cancers and to improving the quality of life of patients and their families.
