Sherry Lombardo, 39, of Trenton was charged with receiving stolen property for pawning jewelry, taken from a Princeton home and valued at $130, at Belgium Jewelers at the Quaker Bridge Mall at 12:02 p.m. June 16. 

Someone stole 50 pairs of hiphuggers underwear, valued at $625, from Victoria’s Secret at the Quaker Bridge Mall, at 4:38 p.m. June 16. A store employee saw a man and a woman in the store, and it appeared that the woman was placing items in a shopping bag held by the man. They left without paying for the merchandise. 

Cristiano Vinattieri, 21, and Fiifi Jehu-Appiah, 22, both of White Pine Circle, were charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia (smoking pipes containing marijuana residue) after police investigated a report of an odor of marijuana emanating from their apartment at 9:28 p.m. June 16. 

Norris Smith, 53, of Trenton, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on Whitehead Road at 12:18 a.m. June 17. Police detected an odor of marijuana coming from the car. 

David Chesebrough, 21, of Skillman, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia (cigarette rolling papers, a scale and a bong) after police stopped his car on Princeton Pike a motor vehicle violation at 2:37 a.m. June 17. 

A dozen newly-planted plants, valued at $350, were reported stolen from the Chapin School between 5 p.m. June 17 and 7 a.m. June 18. 

A woman reported that someone snatched her purse at the ShopRite grocery store at the Mercer Mall at 12:23 p.m. June 18. Police checked the area, but could not find the purse. Her credit cards were used at businesses on Brunswick Avenue in Lawrence, Olden Avenue in Ewing Township and at stores in Levittown and Tullytown, Pennsylvania. 

Roberto Melgoza-Rojas, 43, of Harmony Avenue, was charged with driving under the influence, failure to observe a traffic control device, reckless driving and being an unlicensed driver after he was observed disregarding a traffic light on Princeton Pike at 1:52 a.m. June 20. 

Thomas Sumners III, 23, of Lawrenceville-Pennington Road, was charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving after the car he was driving struck a utility pole on Van Kirk Road at 4:30 a.m. June 20. 

Two Trek men’s mountain bicycles, one valued at $50 and the other valued at $440, were reported stolen from a property on Allen Lane between 6 p.m. June 19 and 10 a.m. June 20. Police canvassed the area and recovered the bicycle valued at $50 in a wooded area on Allen Lane. 

A burglar tried unsuccessfully to gain entry to a Gordon Avenue residence sometime between 10:20 p.m. June 15 and 3 p.m. June 21. The homeowners discovered the window screens had been pushed up and there were pry marks on two first-floor windows. 

Travis Laning, 22, of Helen Avenue, and Jason Rose, 20, of Morrisville, Pennsylvania, were charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon after police responded to a call about a disturbance on Princeton Avenue at 5:16 p.m. June 21. Mr. Laning had a folding knife in his possession and Mr. Rose had a cane in his possession. Mr. Laning was released from the Mercer County Corrections Center after posting $20,000 bail with a 10-percent option, but Mr. Rose was being held on $20,000 bail with a 10-percent option. 

Two extension cords and some ladders were reported stolen from the Morris Hall Meadows construction site on Franklin Corner Road between 3 p.m. June 19 and 7 a.m. June 22. The thieves also damaged the hydraulic lifter on a boom bucket and a box that was used to store equipment. 
