Monmouth Medical Center has announced that pathologists’ assistant James Moore was recently elected to a four-year term as the American Association of Pathologists’ Assistants representative on the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) board of directors.
NAACLS is the premier international agency for both accreditation and approval for educational programs in the clinical laboratory sciences and related health professions. The board of directors functions as the governing unit of NAACLS, where it grants the final accreditation and approval of awards and formulates policy.
Moore, of Sea Bright, also serves as codirector of the Pathologists’ Assistant program (PathA) at the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He currently holds certifications as a pathologists’ assistant from the American
Society for Clinical Pathology’s board of certification.
Monmouth University has named John J. Christopher as vice president and general counsel, effective Aug. 3.
Christopher comes to Monmouth after 25 years with Hodgson Russ LLP. He was a general partner in the New York firm, where he led both the college and university and labor and employment practices.
As the lead and developer of the college and university practice at Hodgson Russ, Christopher represented numerous post-secondary institutions. He also served as the leader of the labor and employment practice group at Hodgson Russ, representing employers across a diverse portfolio of laborrelations issues.
Christopher earned his doctorate at the State University of New York Buffalo Law School.
