Raceway will present fireworks

FREEHOLD — Fireworks and fun will be on tap when Freehold Borough presents the annual Independence Day concert and fireworks celebration at Freehold Raceway, Park Avenue, on July 2 (rain date July 3). Gates will open at 6:30 p.m.

The Eddie Testa Band will perform from 7-9 p.m. Local resident Kason Jackson will sing “The Star-Spangled Banner,” immediately followed by the fireworks, according to a press release.

Radio stations WJRZ-FM and WRATFM will be on hand to provide patriotic music during the fireworks. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Residents and visitors are encouraged to check the new Freehold Borough website at www.freeholdboroughnj.gov for up-to-theminute information on cancellations due to inclement weather or high wind conditions.
