The Metuchen Public Library, 480 Middlesex Ave., Metuchen will host a “Social Security Workshop: When Should You Start Receiving Retirement Benefits?” 7-8:30 p.m. July 7.
The workshop will address several topics, including pros and cons of taking Social Security benefits early, at full retirement age or later; how spousal benefits work; how benefits are calculated; and how Social Security is affected if one continues to work while receiving benefits.
