A West Windsor Township man and two Plainsboro Township men were among seven people who were charged with drug law violations following a drug bust at the West Windsor Township resident’s home June 30, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
The Mercer County Narcotics Task Force made the arrests after a month-long investigation, which resulted in the seizure of more than $100,000 in drugs and nearly $100,000 in cash at the South Lane residence of Toby Weissman. The 29-year-old man was the target of the investigation.
Mr. Weissman was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, one count of possession of a prescription legend drug, two counts each of possession with intent to distribute and possession with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a park, one count of possession of a prohibited weapon (stun gun) and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia (scales, packaging material and smoking devices). Bail was set at $150,000 cash or bond.
Christopher Martinez, 23, of Hamilton Lane, Plainsboro Township; Anton Shvets, 22, of Sayre Drive, Plainsboro Township; Mariselle Toro-Bonilla, 29, of Ewing Township; Leah Kahn, 22, of East Brunswick Township; Theodore Decarlo, 28, of Florence; and Ryan Lefler, 31, of Hamilton Township, were charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and one count of possession of a prescription legend drug.
They were also charged with two counts each of possession with intent to distribute and possession with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a park, one count of possession of a prohibited weapon (stun gun) and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia (scales, packaging materials and smoking devices). Ms. Kahn was also charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana that was found in her purse.
Bail was set at $75,000 cash or bond for each suspect.
Shortly after 7 p.m. June 30, search warrants were served at the house on South Lane by the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force and the West Windsor Township Police Department. Mr. Weissman, who lives at the South Lane house, was found in a second-floor bedroom. The six additional suspects were also found in that bedroom.
Police searched Mr. Weissman’s bedroom and uncovered about 15 pounds of marijuana, five pounds of marijuana (THC) gummy bears, five to seven ounces of hash/hash oil and six clonazepam pills. They also found three tabs of LSD in another room in the house.
The marijuana was estimated to have a street value of $96,000, and the street value of the THC gummy bears was estimated at $1,000. The street value of the hash/hash oil was estimated at $5,000 to $7,000, and the clonazepam pills were estimated at $60.
Police found $98,050 in a safe in a closet and $1,306 in cash throughout the room. Mr. Weissman had $340 in his possession when he was arrested. Police also found a stun gun in a closet and two flat-screen television sets, and seized his 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and 2015 Subaru sport utility vehicle as drug proceeds.
