Michael A. Cavallo died July 2, 2015, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was 74.
Born in Staten Island, he resided in Old Bridge for the past 44 years.
Michael was a graduate of New Dorp High School and had a master’s degree from Wagner College. He worked as an accountant for Weiss, Peck and Greer in New York City for 20 years before retiring 25 years ago. He then worked as a financial consultant until retiring five years ago.
Michael was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge, where he was the president of the St. Vincent DePaul Society. He was also a member of the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh in Old Bridge and was past president of the Old Bridge Little League. He served in the Army Reserves.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Gaffney Cavallo; two sons, Michael and his wife, Cindy, Cavallo of Monroe Township; and Todd and his wife, Danielle, Cavallo of Old Bridge; a daughter, Adriana and her husband, Scott, Houlihan of Atlantic Highlands; and seven grandchildren, Carissa, Caitlyn, Michael, Nicky, Kaegan, Shane and Matt.
Funeral services were handled by Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment followed at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
