Dan Finn, senior vice president and regional general manager with Greater Media New Jersey, was among the inductees named to the New Jersey Broadcasters Association (NJBA) Hall of Fame for 2015.
The induction took place at a special luncheon June 18 during the 68th annual NJBA convention at Caesars in Atlantic City.
“We are very proud of Dan for receiving this distinguished and well-deserved honor,” said Greater Media Chairman and CEO Peter Smyth.
A three-time former NJBA chairman and faithful board member, Finn was named vice president and regional general manager of Greater Media New Jersey in 2001, when Greater Media Inc. purchased New Jersey Broadcasting Inc. He was promoted to senior vice president in December 2007.
Prior to working for Greater Media, he served as president and chief operating officer of New Jersey Broadcasting Inc.
The radio veteran also worked for stations WYNY-FM and WPAT-AM/FM.
Finn was elected to the board of directors of the NJBA as treasurer in 2001. In 2004, 2005 and 2012, Finn was unanimously elected chairman of the organization. He is a past member of the board of directors of the New Jersey Ad Club.
Finn was also featured as one of New Jersey’s “Top Executives Under Forty Years Old” in the 2002 Annual “40 Under 40” issue, published by New Jersey Business Magazine.
This past year, he became a founding member of the City University of New York’s new CSI School of Business Dean’s External Executive Board, and was named to the Radio Advertising Bureau’s Sales Advisory Committee.
“The 2015 NJBA Hall of Fame class of inductees is comprised of true pioneers, innovators and visionaries, with their accomplishments spanning the state and the region,” said NJBA President and CEO Paul S. Rotella. In addition, WDHA-FM won the NJBA Best of the Best award during the annual conference.
WDHA’s Corey Goldberg received the coveted Best Commercial award; this is the second consecutive year Goldberg won the award in the Best of the Best category. The spot was for “Quantum Vapor.”
