The Monmouth County Historical Association is organizing an exhibition to showcase the works of renowned photographer Monroe Edelstein.
Families who have Edelstein portraits hanging in their homes are invited to lend their art for this exhibit, which is scheduled to take place this September at the historic Taylor-Butler House in Middletown.
From 1960 to 1990, Edelstein was one of the premier portrait photographers of the New York metropolitan area. He was a master at capturing a moment in time.
Assisting with the exhibition is Edelstein’s daughter, Councilwoman Aimee Humphreys of Fair Haven, who has retained an extensive archive of her father’s body of work. Owners of Edelstein portraits who are interested in sharing their art for the exhibition can contact Association Director Evelyn Murphy at 732-462-1466, ext. 10, or [email protected].
