Mark Rosman, a managing editor with Greater Media Newspapers, has been named the new host of Greater Media Broadcast News. The weekly video newscast that may be viewed online at http://www.gmnews.com/ broadcast is comprised of news and features from throughout Greater Media Newspapers’ coverage area in Monmouth, Middlesex and Ocean counties. Rosman has been employed by Greater Media Newspapers since July 1982 and has worked as a reporter, copy editor, paginator, sports coordinator and managing editor.
He was named managing editor of the News Transcript in April 1994 and remains in that position. He is also the managing editor of the Examiner and the Tri-Town News. Broadcast News was launched on Greater Media Newspapers’ website in 2013 and features staff writers discussing news events they have covered during the week. In its inaugural year, Broadcast News won a New Jersey Press Association Most Innovative award. Broadcast News originates from the newspapers’ offices in Manalapan and is produced by Gene Lennon, director of information technology.
