John Steen died July 10, 2015, at home. He was 72.
Born in Scotland, he emigrated to the United States in 1960. He settled in Kearney and resided there until moving to Monroe Township in 1972.
Prior to retiring, John worked as a butcher for ShopRite in Spotswood for 30 years.
He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Spotswood.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Nora (Degnan) Steen; his son, John J. Steen, and his wife, Leanne, of Spotswood; two daughters,
Christine Demerly and her husband, Dennis, of Brownstown, Michigan; and Jennifer Steen of Neptune; two brothers, James and Alex Steen; and three grandchildren, Travis, Rachel and Shawn.
Funeral services were held under the direction of The Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Visit www.brunswickmemorialhome.com.
