South Brunswick seniors can partake in trivia, outdoor games during the summer

The following events will be held for South Brunswick seniors who are age 55 and older at the Office on Aging, Route 522, Monmouth Junction:

“Optimize Your Brain Fitness” will be held at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 7. There will be a video entitled “Care and Feeding of the Brain” followed by a lecture.

High school volunteers will hold trivia at 10:45 a.m. Aug. 4; Nintendo Wii tournaments every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.; crafts at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 11, iPad and computer lessons daily from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; and chess lessons on Mondays from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

The newest Bollywood film will be shown at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 11, and “The Forger” will be screened at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 25.

At noon on Aug. 20, outdoor activities such as banjo music, croquet, bocce ball and games will be available.

This month’s art lecture will focus on Pierre-Auguste Renoir at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 21.

A meet-and-greet with township Clerk Barbara Nyitrai will be held at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 31. She will explain the functions of the department such as elections, animal licensing and passports.
