Victoria I. (Weber) Burlew died on July 7, 2015, at Hamilton Place at The Pines at Whiting, Manchester Township, New Jerey. She was 97. She is happy to finally be home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Born in Brooklyn, she resided in Old Bridge for 74 years until moving to Manchester Township in 1995.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Burlew was a bookkeeper for her father’s business, Charles Weber, Inc., Old Bridge.
A former member of The Old Bridge Baptist Church, East Brunswick, Mrs. Burlew was the organist for the church for over 50 years; taught Sunday school; and was choir director. After moving to The Pines, she was an organist and choir director for the facility.
Mrs. Burlew was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Burlew, in 1981. She is also predeceased by her sister, Ruth Green. Surviving Victoria are her brother, Charles Weber, of Florida; and her sister, Wilhelmina (Billie) Heitzmann, of Pennsylvania.
Victoria is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews living across the country. Additionally, she is fondly remembered as “Aunt Viccy” by the hundreds of young people who grew up and attended the Old Bridge Baptist Sunday School through the years.
