WEST WINDSOR POLICE BLOTTER: July 17

  • Chad D. McRae, 19, of Ewing Township, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana after he was observed sitting in a car that was parked behind the Brick House Tavern on Route 1 at 1:21 a.m. June 11. 
  • A 38-year-old West Windsor resident reported the theft of his Schwinn mountain bike, valued at $260, from the bike rack at the Princeton Junction train station between June 8 and June 10. It had been locked to the bike rack. 
  • A 49-year-old West Windsor resident reported the theft of his Diamondback mountain bike from the bike rack on the West Windsor Township side of at the Princeton Junction train station on June 10. It had been locked to the bike rack. 
  • Someone broke the driver’s side front window and stole a GPS that had been affixed to the front window of a car belonging to a 43-year-old Lawrence Township resident while the car was parked on the Wallace Road side of the Princeton Junction train station June 12. 
  •  A thief stole a Schwinn bicycle belonging to a 31-year-old West Windsor resident from the bicycle rack at the Princeton Junction train station on the Wallace Road side June 12. It had been locked to the bike rack. 
  •  An 18-year-old Plainsboro Township resident reported the theft of his iPhone and wallet from his car while it was parked at the Mercer County Community College parking lot adjacent to the basketball court on June 12. One person of interest was described as a tall black man with a tattoo on his arm that said “King” and having a space between his teeth. He was wearing a navy blue T-shirt, ripped basketball shorts and black shoes.Another person of interest was described as a short black man with a lip piercing and multiple piercings in his left ear. He had a goatee and was wearing a black V-neck style shirt and white shoes. 
  •  Someone was able to compromise a 35-year-old township resident’s debit card 11 times in several different states, including Arkansas, Ohio and Texas, and Antalya, Turkey, between June 6 and June 8. 
  • A 2007 Toyota Camry belonging to a 38-year-old Trenton resident was reported stolen from the parking lot at Trader Joe’s in The Square of West Windsor shopping center on Route 1 on June 16. The victim’s Apple iPhone 6 was inside the car. The total value stolen was $16,600. 
  • Ronnie W. Marsh, 54, of Elizabeth, was charged with theft, criminal attempt and possession of burglar’s tools after he was observed stealing a bicycle from a rack at the Wallace Road pay lot at the Princeton Junction train station June 22. He was found to be in possession of burglar’s tools. He was also found to have an outstanding warrant for $2,500 from West Windsor Township, and was taken to the Mercer County Correction Center. 
  • Nicholas Ryan Murray, 23, of Dayton, was charged with drug law violations and a weapons offense at 3:16 p.m. June 23 after he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Route 1 north. He had an assortment of drugs in his possession, several hypodermic needles and syringes, and a pair of brass knuckles, police said. 
  •  A 56-year-old West Windsor resident was the victim of identity theft, which occurred during February and that was reported at 2:54 p.m. June 24. The victim was notified by the New Jersey Division of Taxation that a fraudulent tax return may have been filed in his name. The Internal Revenue Service confirmed that a fraudulent tax return had been filed in his name. 
  • A Magna woman’s bicycle was reported stolen from an open garage at a home in the Estate at Princeton Junction development between 7:50 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. June 25. 
  •  A 53-year-old Morrisville, Pennsylvania, resident told police that someone had accessed his bank account at the Home Depot store in the Nassau Park shopping center to purchase bubble wrap, and then used the same bank account to make a purchase at Panera Bread in the Nassau Park Pavilion on June 7. The incident was reported at 9:51 a.m. June 22. 
  •  Someone used a 46-year-old Levittown, Pennsylvania, resident’s TD Bank debit card information to make fraudulent charges of $700 at the Hyatt Regency Princeton and also for $98 at Wegmans Princeton between June 24 and June 26. Additional charges were made in Lawrence Township. The debit card number has been canceled. 
  •  Summer G. Garfias, 37, of Clementon, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of drug paraphernalia (a glass pipe) after police stopped to investigate a car that was stopped on a dark portion of roadway on Old Trenton Road at Edinburg Road at 11:39 p.m. July 3. 
  •  A 72-year-old township resident reported the fraudulent use of his American Express credit card in Lake Buena Vista and Orlando, Florida, between June 5 and June 6. The suspect made 15 charges to the victim’s credit card. The incident was reported July 2 at 6:36 p.m. 
  •  A Next PX 4.0 black bicycle belonging to a 38-year-old township resident was stolen from the bicycle parking area at the Canal Pointe development July 8. The suspect “picked” the lock and stole the bicycle. 
  •  Someone damaged a mailbox and the post to which it was attached at a home in the Southfield Meadows development between July 11 and July 12. The mailbox was found hanging off of the post, and the post was cracked. 
