 “Sisters In Pain,” a satirical look at one woman’s reaction to her husband’s unexpected announcement of his retirement, will be presented at 7 p.m. Aug. 13 at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters, 125 Symmes Drive, Manalapan.  The Manalapan Senior Center will sponsor a bus trip to La Neves in Haledon on Aug. 12 for a Motown tribute with Joe Zisa and Friends. The bus will leave the Manalapan municipal court parking lot at 9:30 a.m. and return at about 5 p.m. The cost of the trip is $46, which includes the show and freshly baked muffins and coffee, two complimentary drinks, salad, pasta, chicken Francese, roast beef with gravy, roasted potatoes and vegetables, cheesecake, coffee, tea and soda. The University of Rhode Island, Kingston, Rhode Island, named the following graduates: from Manalapan: Chelsea N. Zirrith, Jeffrey Michael Wasserman, Christopher Sean Reinemann, Sydney P. Wasserberger and Rachel Faye Roth; from Colts Neck: Meaghan Sullivan Weissman, Mary Catherine Rocca and Mark C. Balzotti; from Freehold: Shannon Nicole Modri and Lindsay Karpf; and from Marlboro: Rebecca Block.

Carly Paige Korman, daughter of Sheri Lehrman Korman and David Korman of Manalapan, has been chosen as one of 50 students nationwide as a Grinspoon Morningstar Fellow at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, for the 2015-16 academic year. This fellowship enables college students to make an impact on their campuses through coalition building, research and civic engagement. Carly, who is a 2013 Manalapan High School graduate, is majoring in psychology.

John D. Niemiec of Howell graduated with a major in community health education with a concentration in nutrition from the University of Scranton, Scranton, Pennsylvania. John, who is a Howell High School graduate, plans to pursue a career in a professional sports organization’s wellness program.

Brett A. Nance of Morganville graduated magna cum laude with a major in community health education, a double minor in health administration and counseling and human services, and a concentration in nutrition from the University of Scranton, Scranton, Pennsylvania. Brett, who is a Marlboro High School graduate, will pursue a master’s degree in public health from Rutgers University.

Carsin Conner of Howell has been named to the dean’s list for the 2015 spring semester at the University of New Haven, West Haven, Connecticut.

Kristen D. Frost of Freehold graduated summa cum laude with a double major in accounting and finance from the University of Scranton, Scranton, Pennsylvania. Kristen, who is a Freehold High School graduate, will begin a career in the fall as a public accountant for PricewaterhouseCoopers, New York City.

Andrew McEvoy of Howell has been named to the dean’s list for the 2015 spring semester at the University of New Haven, West Haven, Connecticut.

Elizabeth Lesch of Colts Neck graduated with a bachelor of science in mathematics from Lafayette College. Easton, Pennsylvania.
