For 77 years, the Middlesex County Fair has been a tradition that brings together thousands of residents for a week of summer fun. Some 85,000 visitors annually explore the county’s rich agricultural heritage, learn a new craft, try a new food, or go on a ride – all in a day’s visit at the Middlesex County Fair.
Fair dates are Monday, Aug. 3, through Sunday, Aug. 9.
Fair hours are: Monday-Friday: 5 – 11 p.m., Saturday: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m., Sunday: 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
General admission: adults $7; seniors (ages 65+) $4; children ages 3-12 $1; Children age 2 and under are admitted free.
Fairgoers can enjoy multiple daily shows including: Barnyard Express; Deputy Boots and Sheriff Britches; Ford Dream Camper Show; Hansen’s Spectacular Acrobatic Sensations; Robinson’s Racing Pigs; UWA Elite Pro Wrestling and more. Fireworks displays take place 9-10 p.m.
The fair celebrates traditional skills with competitions including from vegetables, baked goods, canning, quilts and needlework, crafts, woodworking, art and photography.
Middlesex County 4-H hosts dozens of events during fair week from horse shows to clogging demos. More than 400 4-H members will be showcasing their 4-H projects, including small animals, dogs, horses, livestock, remote control cars, crafts and clothing, archery, dance and more during fair week.
