WEST WINDSOR – A 43-year-old Levittown, Pa., man who left the Mercer Oaks Golf Course in a golf cart was charged with driving under the influence after he collided with another vehicle on Village Road West at 7:06 p.m. July 26, according to the West Windsor Township Police Department.
The incident began when the golf course ranger tried to stop an intoxicated man — identified as Geoffrey R. Kleid, 43, of Levittown, Pa. — who was driving a golf cart erratically, police said. Mr. Kleid allegedly left the golf course on Village Road West in the golf cart and struck another car.
In addition to the charge of driving while intoxicated, Mr. Kleid was charged with reckless driving, careless driving and failure to stop or yield, police said.
