The Jackson Library, Jackson, will host Lawrence Hogan, of Union County College, and Jim Robinson, a veteran of the Negro Leagues, in a presentation of “Blackball,” which explores the black part of the national pastime during America’s era of segregation. The presentation at the library will take place at 7 p.m. Sept. 16. This program is funded by the Horizons Speakers Bureau of the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Friends of the Jackson Library, and is cosponsored by Jackson Little League.
