CentraState to host baby fair on Oct. 25

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP — CentraState Medical Center will host a free baby fair for parents-to-be and those considering a pregnancy from 5:30-8 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus, 901 W. Main St. (Route 537).

A variety of mother/baby service and product vendors will provide information and free gifts. Participants can meet CentraState’s board-certified obstetricians, pediatricians, family practice physicians and related hospital staff; attend lectures; and win raffles and door prizes.

There will be tours of CentraState’s First Impressions Maternity Center during which guests can learn about the nurses who staff the labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum units and the Colette Cipriano Special Care Nursery.

The event offers three free seminars: “Preparing for Pregnancy and Trying to Conceive” with Karen Krieg, D.O., at 6:30 p.m.; “What to Expect During Pregnancy” with Rebecca Cipriano, M.D., at 7 p.m.; and “What to Expect During Labor and Delivery” with Steven Goldstein, M.D., at 7:30 p.m.

Participants can get flu shots and/or Tdap shots to protect against tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (whooping cough). For more information or to register for the baby fair and lectures, call 866-CENTRA7.
