Craig McGraw of Marlboro has been named one of the 2015 “Forty under 40” award winners by NJBIZ, a New Jersey business news publication. McGraw is the national sales director for Trans American Trucking and Warehouse, South Plainfield. McGraw was selected for this honor because of his outstanding contributions and commitment to business growth, professional excellence and community. Trans American Trucking and Warehouse, established in 1976, provides customers throughout the United States and Canada with transportation, warehousing, packing and export services.

The CentraState Healthcare Foundation, Freehold Township, has received a $7,200 quality of life grant from the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.

CentraState Medical Center’s Linda E. Cardinale Multiple Sclerosis Center will use these funds to provide scholarships for up to 60 multiple sclerosis patients so they can gain the benefits of CentraState’s Multiple Sclerosis Wellness Program without incurring additional financial burden.

The award was one of 84 grants totaling more than $704,732 awarded by the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation to nonprofit organizations nationwide that provide more opportunities, access and daily quality of life for individuals living with paralysis, their families and their caregivers.

The CentraState Healthcare Foundation is the fundraising arm of the CentraState Healthcare System.

The Court Jester, Freehold Borough, has joined the growing list of Monmouth County businesses that have benefited from the Grow Monmouth Façade Improvement Program. The business received $1,850 for recent upgrades to the exterior of its building.

“The Court Jester is receiving a reimbursement check for $1,850 for a new awning on their building at 16 E. Main St.,” Freeholder Thomas A. Arnone said. “Every façade improvement program check helps make a needed improvement to a local business.”

Co-owner Anthony Ciafardini accepted the reimbursement check from Arnone on Aug. 13.

According to a press release, the program is part of the Grow Monmouth initiative that is using U.S. Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant funds to help improve the look of privately held commercial buildings in HUD eligible areas of Monmouth County. No county funds are being used for the program.

To date, Monmouth County’s façade improvement program has dispersed $72,309 to local businesses.

Ken Findlay has joined the pastoral staff of the Monmouth Worship Center, Marlboro, as the new full-time youth pastor. Findlay graduated from Valley Forge Christian College (now University of Valley Forge) in 2007 and most recently served as youth pastor at Mountaintop Church in Hackettstown.

Monmouth Worship Center has an active youth ministry which meets each Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the weekly gathering, the youth ministry is involved in community outreach, an annual arts festival, small group meetings, social activities and mission trips at home and abroad.

The church will have an installation service to formally welcome Findlay to the staff on Sept. 6 at services at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Franchised auto retailers throughout New Jersey are partnering with the Valerie Fund to raise money for thousands of children who have cancer and blood disorders. The New Jersey Auto Retailers Unite campaign will highlight the work auto retailers do in communities across the state.

Freehold Ford, Mercedes-Benz of Freehold, Volkswagen of Freehold, Ray Catena of Freehold and DCH Auto Group have committed to participate in the campaign that will run through Oct. 31.

The dealerships will donate $5 to the Valerie Fund for every car sold. The Valerie Fund has supported comprehensive healthcare services for children with cancer and blood disorders since 1976.
