HILLSBOROUGH – River Road (CR 567), between Elm Street (CR 667) and River Road/Opie Road, will be closed for emergency repairs beginning Friday, Aug. 28.
This segment of roadway will be closed to through traffic for approximately one week until roadway repairs can be completed. A detour route will be posted, utilizing Amwell Road (CR 514) to East Mountain Road (CR 677) to South Branch Road (CR 625) to River Road / Opie Road.
Elm Street Bridge, a one-lane bridge with a weight limit of 3 tons registered gross vehicle weight that traverses the South Branch Raritan River, will remain open. Oversize or overweight vehicles are prohibited from crossing this bridge; there will be no exceptions during emergency repairs.
