Lt. Christopher Kasick of the Hopewell Township Police Department reported:
As dispute between two motorists resulted in weapons charges for one of the motorists.
Officer Christopher Vaccarino was dispatched to Route 29 at 12:52 p.m. Aug. 22 on a report of a fight between two motorists.
After investigating, Frederick C. Klenk, 45, of Titusville was charged with : possession of a firearm for unlawful purpose, possession of a handgun, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. The weapon was a BB gun, police said.
Mr. Klenk was charged and taken to the Mercer County Correction Center where he was held in lieu of $145,000 bail. Police said his case was forwarded to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
Maria M. Maldonado, 28, of Trenton was charged with theft at 2 p.m. on Aug. 26 after being accused of taking a $635 cell phone from a Scotch Road business. The case was forwarded to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office. Officer Kevin Koveloski investigated.
Genesis Torres, 38, of Trenton was charged with driving while intoxicated after Officer William Gaskill stopped his 1998 Lincoln Navigator on Route 29 at 9:43 p.m. on Aug. 26.
He was released to a family member after being charged with drunken driving, refusal to submit to breath testing, reckless driving and having open containers of alcohol in the vehicle. His case will be heard in municipal court.
Police have issued an arrest warrant for Ian Patterson, 25, of Philadelphia after charging him with hindering apprehension. Sgt. Kevin Zorn stopped Mr. Patterson’s car on Route 579 on Aug. 28. Police said he falsely identified himself as someone else but an investigation uncovered his identity. Once arrested, his case will be heard in municipal court.
