– Challah baking on tap for holidays
The Jewish Women of East Brunswick (JWEB) will hold its annual High Holiday Challah Baking event 7 p.m. Sept. 8 at Eagle’s Landing Day Camp, 74 Davidson Mill Road, North Brunswick.
All women and girls are invited. Cost is $8 per person. Registration is required.

– Defensive-driving program scheduled
The East Brunswick Friends of the Library will sponsor a fundraising Defensive-Driving Course 6:30-10 p.m. Sept. 8 and 9 at the East Brunswick Public Library, Jean Walling Civic Center. Registration is required. Class size is limited.
Eligible motorists may erase 2 points from their driver’s license and/or get a 5 percent discount on a portion of their auto insurance. Fees range from $55-$65, depending on one’s goals. To receive credit for the course, participants must attend both sessions. Approved by the state of New Jersey, the course will be taught by an experienced police detective/accident investigator. Applications are available at the library circulation desk or by logging on to www.ebpl.org.
Class fees will help pay for children’s and adult programs at the library.
