Dedication to school, community earns North Brunswick resident volunteer award

 Neal Gaeta Neal Gaeta NORTH BRUNSWICK — Neal Gaeta has been selected as the 2015 Volunteer of the Year Municipal Alliance award winner for Middlesex County.

Neal volunteers with the North Brunswick Youth Council as a senior member, the North Brunswick Municipal Alliance Committee as a student liaison, the North Brunswick Township High School National Honor Society as president, the school’s Student Government Organization as vice president and local Buddy Ball programs as a buddy.

He will be a senior at North Brunswick Township High School next month.

“In order for a community to flourish and grow, the community needs input, time and service from its residents. I have been surrounded by good people who have always given time and effort to contribute to the betterment of North Brunswick. Because of that, I feel I have a responsibility to continue my commitment to North Brunswick,” Neal said. “I am honored just to be considered for this award, let alone receive the award. I truly enjoy volunteering and working alongside the great people of our town, and getting an award for doing such is very special.

The award will be presented on Sept. 24.
