Adesa New Jersey Auto Auction is hosting a classic car and motorcycle show and family fun fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at its property behind the Walmart mall on North Main Street, Manville.
The $5 donation generates proceeds that will go to the Food Bank Network of Somerset County.
There will be fun for the kids and adults alike. Children will enjoy face painting, balloon animals, and a bouncy house, along with seeing an ambulance, fire truck and police dogs.
Parents also may have their child fingerprinted for their records at no fee. There will be many vendors, including food and drink vendors.
Entries for the car show costs $25 per car or motorcycle, and includes an event T-shirt. Prizes will be awarded, as will four trophies — one from the mayor of Manville, one from Adesa NJ, one from Napa D&B Auto Supply and the people’s choice trophy donated by Crown Trophy of Green Brook.
The Food Bank feeds more than 1,300 families a month and is in dire need of help and donations. Anyone who wants to help the cause and cannot come to the fundraiser can mail checks, written to the Food Bank of Somerset County, to Adesa NJ, 200 N. Main St., Manville N.J. 08835 Attn: Maria or Shakeerah.
