The Metuchen Arts Council is sponsoring a bus trip to The New York Botanical Garden, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 16. The bus leaves from the Metuchen Pool parking lot, Lake Avenue.
“Frida Kahlo: Art, Garden, Life” examines the artist’s appreciation for the beauty and variety of the natural world. Featuring the rare display of more than a dozen original Kahlo paintings, this limited engagement also reimagines the artist’s famed garden and studio.
After visiting the exhibit, the bus will travel to Arthur Avenue, “Little Italy in The Bronx.” There will be time to dine, shop and walk around before the bus departs to return to Metuchen.
Admission to the exhibit and transportation is $44 per person. Make checks payable to Borough of Metuchen.
