The Metuchen Arts Council will present its annual outdoor Jazzfest concert featuring Carrie Jackson and The Jazzin Allstars and The Derrick Baker Group in the plaza in front of Metuchen Borough Hall on the corner of Main Street and Middlesex Avenue at 3 p.m. Sept. 19. In case of rain, the program will move indoors to the Metuchen Senior Center on the corner of New and Center streets.
A quartet of local and regional singersongwriters will perform an evening of music at 8 p.m. at the Old Franklin Schoolhouse, 491 Middlesex Ave. in Metuchen. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; music starts at 8 p.m. The cost is $10 for adults; $5 for children under 12.
