PRINCETON POLICE BLOTTER: Sept. 17


A man drove off without paying for $50 worth of gasoline from a Bayard Lane service station at 7:21 p.m. Sept. 10. The man’s credit card was declined and he drove off before the attendant could inform him. The driver was described as a white man, 5 feet 5 inches tall, with short brown hair and a tan complexion. He was wearing camouflage shorts and he was driving a full-size white two-door pickup truck. 

A Jefferson Road resident reported that on Sept. 8, an unknown projectile caused a small hole in a window pane in the front of her house. The cost of the damage is unknown. The incident was reported at 1:29 p.m. Sept. 8. 

Barbara Reid, 57, of Coppervail Court, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for $500 from Montgomery Township Municipal Court following a motor vehicle stop on Lawrenceville Road at 3:27 p.m. Sept. 8. 

Someone made multiple fraudulent purchases on a Carnegie Drive resident’s Visa debit card for more than $500. The incident was reported at 4:23 p.m. Sept. 8. 

Tyrone Campbell, 41, of Trenton, was charged with hindering apprehension for giving false information to a police officer following a motor vehicle stop on Mercer Street at 11:08 p.m. Sept. 8. 

A teak park bench, valued at $1,300, was reported stolen from the north sidewalk area on Nassau Street near Linden Lane between Sept. 9 and Sept. 11. The incident was reported to police at 8 a.m. Sept. 14 by the Princeton Public Works Department. 
 Eric Elliott, 29, of Hamilton, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for $67 from North Brunswick Township Municipal Court following a motor vehicle stop on Hodge Road at 8:52 a.m. Sept. 13. 

Kaishla Betancourt, 23, of Belleville, was arrested for unlawful possession of prescription drugs during a motor vehicle stop on Nassau Street at 2:17 a.m. Sept. 12. 
 Scott Savarese, 32, of Monroe Township, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for $180 from Jamesburg Borough Municipal Court at 2:43 p.m. Sept. 12. 

Steven Hunter, 22, of Phillipsburg, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for $195 from South Brunswick Township Municipal Court during a motor vehicle stop on Stockton Street at 8:45 a.m. Sept. 11. 
