HILLSBOROUGH: Ms. Simon’s values mirror Mr. Biondi, his wife says

To the editor:
It has been four years since I met Donna Simon. Unfortunately, the circumstances were not ideal. My husband, Assemblyman Peter Biondi, had just passed away and his set in the General Assembly had to be filled. One afternoon, I received a phone call from someone who introduced herself as Donna Simon. She wanted to talk about filling Pete’s seat.
We talked for a few hours and I found a friend. Her values, integrity, and work ethic matched Pete’s so closely, I thought, what a great replacement in the 16th District. After following her tenure, I can honestly say that my first impressionwas correct beyond my expectations.
Pete was always looking for people he thought would serve the public honestly and with compassion. He met Donna briefly during one of his last campaign stops and remarked to me that he had met “someone” who impressed him with her directness and caring who was serving on the Readington Township Committee. He felt she had great potential. Unfortunately he did not have the time to follow up on that thought.
Donna remembered that meeting and luckily for the residents of the 16th District she was appointed to fill the vacancy, won her election and is now up for re-election in 2015. Donna hit the ground running n 2011 and hasn’t stopped since. She is tireless in service to her constituency and they are lucky to have her.
I urge you to vote for Donna on Nov.3. She has worked very hard for all of the 16th District resident sand deserves your support. In return, she will give you her very best and then some.
