POLICE BLOTTER: EAST WINDSOR

An employee of the Cranbury Manor Exxon on Route 130 reported that a male patron driving a silver Toyota was possibly intoxicated. The officer arrived and located the driver lying on the floor of the bathroom with vomit on his shirt. While speaking with the driver, the officer detected the odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath and observed him swaying while he stood. Akshay Patel, 35, of Lawrenceville, was arrested and charged with drunken driving, refusal to provide breath samples, reckless driving and careless driving. 

While on patrol in the area of Dutch Neck Road, police observed a black Audi driving erratically. The vehicle was stopped on the shoulder of Oak Creek Road near Maple Stream Road. While speaking with the driver, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from within the vehicle. Jeffrey Stys, 24, of Edwards Drive, was given field sobriety tests and arrested and charged with drunken driving, careless driving, failure to maintain a lane, failure to exhibit registration and failure to exhibit insurance. 

While on patrol in the area of Route 133, police observed a silver Mazda driving erratically. The vehicle was stopped on Route 133 in the area of One Mile Road. While speaking with the driver, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle and observed an opened container of alcohol inside of the vehicle. Kaitlin Denbleyker, 25, of Dayton, was arrested and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to maintain a lane and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. 

While on patrol in the area of Route 571 and One Mile Road, police observed a silver Acura with a malfunctioning taillight. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Lanning Boulevard. While speaking with the driver, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle. Further investigation revealed that the front seat passenger was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Matthew Randhawa, 24, of Plainsboro, was arrested and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Patrol officers were dispatched to the Windsor Castle apartment complex for a report of a fight between two men. Preliminary investigation revealed that one of the parties used a folding box-cutter against the other during the dispute, which resulted in lacerations to both men. Terrance Bowers, 41, of Windsor Castle Apartments, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon. He was released on $10,000 bail. 
