MONTGOMERY — Nine candidates for four seats on the Montgomery Township Board of Education will share their views on the issues at a candidates forum Oct. 15, sponsored by the League of Women Voters of the Princeton Area.
The question-and-answer session, which starts at 7 p.m., will be held in the Upper Middle School media center. The school is located at 375 Burnt Hill Road. The candidates will answer questions submitted by attendees.
At stake are three seats on the school board that carry three-year terms, plus one seat for an unexpired two-year term. Two incumbents — Charles F. Jacey, Jr. and Dale Huff — are seeking re-election, one to a three-year term and one to the two-year term. Both men were appointed to fill vacancies on the school board earlier this year. Mr. Jacey is a former school board member.
The seven candidates for the three-year seats are Paul Blodgett, who lives on Grayson Drive and who works in finance and operations; Richard Cavalli, who lives on Cairns Place and is the CEO of Black Box Principals; and Minkou “Minkyo” Chenette, a Heritage Hills Court resident who is a stay-at-home mother.
Also, Shannon Devine, who lives on Millstone River Road and who teaches science in the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District; Charles F. Jacey, Jr., who retired as a senior partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers and who lives on Milford Place; Ranjana Rao, who lives on Catskill Court and who is a strategy and business consultant; and Tommy Riggs, who lives on West Street and is an investor and business consultant.
The two candidates for the unexpired two-year term are Dale Huff, who lives on Labaw Way and is the executive director of global supplier management for Merck & Co.; and Phyllis Bursh, who lives on Sunset Road and is a stay-at-home mother.
