 JAR of Hope will host a fundraising gala at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Battleground Country Club, Manalapan. Tickets are $150. The event will feature a silent auction and include major league baseball memorabilia. JAR of Hope was started by Manalapan residents Jim and Karen Raffone when their 4-year-old son Jamesy was diagnosed with a rare and fatal mutation of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Accepted items include men’s, women’s, and children’s gently used clothing and shoes; toys and games; bed and bath linens; housewares; art and home décor; jewelry; and books.
