CRANBURY: Boy Scout Troop 52, Cranbury Girl Scouts collecting clothing, food donations Saturday morning

Boy Scout of America (BSA) Troop 52 in Cranbury will be picking up clothing and hygiene product donations that can be left on people’s doorsteps Saturday, Nov. 14, starting at 9 a.m.
The clothing and hygiene items go to the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK). In addition to the Boy Scouts picking up the clothing and hygiene items, the Cranbury Girl Scouts will be sorting the hygiene items and making hygiene kits for the clients of TASK. This is important because hygiene items cannot be purchased with food stamps.
In addition, Pack 52 is also distributing food bags to our homes in Cranbury to benefit the Holiday Food Basket Drive for the Greater Cranbury Community, organized by the Board of Deacons of the First Presbyterian Church of Cranbury.
Among the food items needed include frozen turkeys, canned vegetables, canned fruits, soups, cranberry sauce, cereal, pasta sauce, crackers, rice, boxed potatoe, stuffing, cookies, pancake mix, syrup, cake/muffin mix, peanut butter, jam,
Jello/pudding, canned nuts, granola bars and olives. Place the non-perishable and non-breakable items in your bag.
The bags that the boys will be collecting will be dropped off at The First Presbyterian Church of Cranbury between 9 a.m, and noon. The Girl Scouts will arrive at 10 a.m. to start sorting and making hygiene kits.
