A group show of paintings by artists who participated in the plein air series is scheduled for December at the Gourgaud Gallery.
“Cranbury Art in the Park” will be shown from Dec. 6 through Dec. 23 at the gallery, Cranbury Town Hall (Old School Building), 23-A North Main Street, Cranbury. The show will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the first and third Sundays, Dec. 6 and Dec. 20, from 1 to 3 p.m.
A reception will kick off the show from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, hosted by the Cranbury Arts Council.
Each month from May to October, a different Cranbury property hosts local artists to capture the scenes offered at the gardens and historic homes in Cranbury. Artists also painted in parks in and beyond the town.
Cash or a check made out to the Cranbury Arts Council is accepted as payment. All art that is sold gives a 20 percent donation to the Cranbury Arts Council in order to continue in its mission to promote and support the arts through its programs, classes, exhibits, summer art & technology camp and winter theatre camp.
