Job fair to be held Dec. 1 at East Brunswick Library

EAST BRUNSWICK — Assemblywoman Nancy J. Pinkin announced that she would be the host to a job fair on Dec. 1, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., at the East Brunswick Public Library, Jean Walling Civic Center, East Brunswick.

Also sponsoring the event will be the Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce; Edison Chamber of Commerce; the East Brunswick Public Library; and her legislative colleagues, Sen. Peter Barnes, Assemblyman Patrick Diegnan and Assemblyman Joe Danielsen.

“Having meaningful employment is very important,” said Pinkin (D-Middlesex). “It is not only beneficial for the individual, but beneficial to our economy and our communities. It is my hope that this job fair will help residents find new jobs, explore new career goals and find opportunities to network.”

Lina Llona, president, Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce, said that in addition to providing access to employment, the job fair allows participants to gauge the Central Jersey market.

Prospective employers include: JFK Medical Center; Holiday Inn Express – East Brunswick; South Jersey Gas; Elizabethtown Gas; Rutgers University; Bright Horizons Family Solutions; Eden Autism Services; Coordinated Family Care, It Works; Hudson Court Reporting & Video, Inc.; MassMutual; Lorelei Staffing; GEICO Insurance; and others.

Pinkin represents the 18th Legislative District, which includes East Brunswick, Edison, Helmetta, Highland Park, Metuchen, South Plainfield and South River. She was first elected to the Assembly in 2013 after serving on the East Brunswick Town Council since 2005.
