The Salvation Army has one annual fundraising campaign, familiar to most, when they see bell ringers outside storefronts encouraging all to make change happen at red kettles. The Red Kettle Campaign will commence Nov. 16 at various stores in the area. Plans for the 11th Annual Red Kettle Classic Basketball Tournament are on their way. This year it will take place on Dec. 4 at The Salvation Army Red Bank Corps’ Jane H. Booker Community Center, more commonly known as “The Gym,” at 180 Newman Springs Road in Red Bank. Games will start at 6 p.m.

Middletown High School North’s Khristian Acosta signed to play ice hockey at Quinnipiac University and Christine Gebhardt signed to play softball at Manhattan College. In addition, Robert Hampton has verbally committed to play ice hockey at Northeastern University.
