HOPEWELL: Police report two incidents of alleged mid-week DWI 

Hopewell Township Officer Nicholas Sparaco arrested Phillip J. Brock, 29, of Mountain Church Road, Hopewell, on Nov. 18 at 3 a.m. for allegedly driving while under the influence.
Officer Sparaco had been dispatched to investigate a suspicious vehicle on Bayberry Road near Pennington-Rocky Hill Road. While speaking with Mr. Brock the officer said he smelled the odor of alcohol on his breath. After roadside sobriety testing Mr. Brock was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters.
He was released to a family member after being cited for DWI, reckless driving, having an open container, careless driving and failure to exhibit documents. His case will be heard in municipal court.

Officer Mark Panzano arrested Stephanie Ortiz, 24, of Center Grove Road, Randolph, for alleged possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Nov. 21 at 1:20 a.m.
Ms. Ortiz was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for alleged speeding on Route 31 near Route 654. On the stop, Officer Panzano thought he smelled the odor of marijuana in the vehicle. A search revealed marijuana and a pipe in Ms. Ortiz’s possession. She was taken to police headquarters and later released. Her case will be heard in municipal court.

Officer Michael Toth stopped a 2003 Ford on Denow Road for an alleged motor vehicle violation for non-working lights on Nov. 24 at 7:30 p.m.
While speaking to the driver, who was identified as Daniel D. White, 57, of Village Square, Pennington, warrants for his arrest were located. He was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters, from where he was released after posting bail. His case will be heard in municipal court.

Officer George Peterson stopped a 2013 Toyota on Bear Tavern Road for obstructing traffic at about 11 p.m. on Nov. 25. The officer spoke with the driver, who was identified as Robert A. Cedeno, 25, of Bradford Avenue, Hamilton, and believed that he was impaired due to drug or alcohol use. After roadside sobriety field testing he was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters.
He was also found to have numerous pending warrants from Woodbridge, Bordentown and Trenton municipal courts. He was processed and released to a friend after being charged with DWI, DWI in a school zone, reckless driving, driving while suspended, failure to exhibit documents and obstructing traffic. His cases will be heard in municipal court.
