HILLSBOROUGH: Boy Scouts toast work of Horner, Simon tonight

Boy Scouts of America, Patriots’ Path Council were to honor Hillsborough Rotarian Joe Horner and Assemblywoman at the “Toast to Scouting” awards dinner scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 2, at the Bridgewater Manor.
Other honorees are Freeholder Mark Caliguire, Caesar DePaço and the husband-and-wife team of Arthur Graham and Kathy Ohleth.
The six will be recognized for their community service, and for their embodiment of the values of the century-old Scout Oath and Law in their personal and professional lives. The event chairman is Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli.
Mr. Caliguire, of Montgomery, is the director of the Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
Mr. DePaço is the CEO and founder of Summit Nutritionals International, Inc. and the honorary consul of Portugal for the State of Florida.
Mr. Graham is vice president of strategic development at Precise Publications, a medical communications company started by his wife, Dr. Kathleen Ohleth, who is president and founder. Kathleen and Arthur created Pedal for the Puzzle, a charity event to raise money and awareness for autism.
Mr. Horner is assistant governor of Rotary District 7510.
Ms. Simon has been a member of the General Assembly representing Legislative District 16 since 2012.
Mr. Ciattarelli said, “Boy Scouts of America is dedicated to building character, providing training in the duties of citizenship and, in so doing, building a more conscientious, responsible and productive society. This year’s honorees embody that very same dedication. By demonstrating, time and again, exemplary leadership, model citizenship and steadfast commitment to the community, each of the six honoree reflects perfectly all that Boy Scouts of America represents.”
The Boy Scouts Patriots’ Path Council serves 17,000 youth in more than 400 Scouting units in communities throughout Morris, Middlesex, Somerset, Sussex and Union counties.
