Princeton
Head Coach: Dan Van Hise, third year
Last year: 8-16
Key returning players: Adria Backus (Sr.), Julia Ryan (Sr.), Crystal Wang (Sr.), Ines Arroyo (Jr.), Zoe Tesone (Jr.), Devon Lis (So.), Jamaica Ponder (So.).
Top newcomers: Taylor Stone (So.).
Coach’s Thoughts: After winning eight games a year ago and making the state tournament, we hope to build on that success from last year. Losing five seniors who played major minutes, the opportunity is there for newcomers to step into larger roles. Despite the turnover, we return our top scorer and top defender, so if those younger/inexperienced players can step up, another successful season should be there for the taking.
WW-P North
Head Coach: Bob Boyce, 11th year
Last year: 11-15
Key returning players: Jessie Nicieza (Sr.), Olivia Okorodudu (Sr.), Chrissy DiCindio (Jr.), Natalie Everett (Jr.), Jasmin Watson (Jr.), Katie Laresch (So.).
Top newcomers: Victoria Belabe (Jr.), Ciahni Hunt (Jr.), Emily Garron (So.), Jordan Brown (Fr.), Maddie Russell (Fr.).
Coach’s Thoughts: The experience and leadership of Watson, DiCindio and Everett will have to offset our lack of depth and numbers. We only have 18 players in the entire program. Jordan Brown is a promising freshman who has a lot to learn in order to contribute. Ciahni Hunt is a transfer from TCA and will factor into likely a major contributor after she sits 30 days for transferring. Okorodudu and Nicieza must contribute this season for us to have any depth at all.We will be very competitive and will battle all the way. We have some talent, some of it is very raw and undisciplined. We should do well.
