Metuchen Public Library, 480 Middlesex Ave., Metuchen, will serve as the host to an Affordable Care Act Information Seminar on Jan. 7, 2016 from 7 p.m.-8 p.m.
Metuchen Public Library is in partnership with Enrollment Assistance Center, SRA International, Inc., a federal subcontractor, to provide the free information seminar. The trained assisters from Enrollment Assistance Center – SRA International, Inc., can offer help and assistance in getting the best health care plan that meets your family’s needs and budget. Questions addressed will be how to find the right affordable health insurance whether renewing or enrolling in health insurance from the “Marketplace” for the first time.
For 2016 coverage, the Open Enrollment period is Nov. 1, 2015-Jan. 31, 2016. Dec. 15 is the last day to enroll in or change plans for new coverage to start on Jan. 1, 2016. Jan. 15 is the last day to enroll in or change plans for new coverage to start on Feb. 1, 2016. Jan. 31 is the last day to enroll in or change plans for new coverage to start on March 1, 2016.
Open enrollment ends on Jan. 31, 2016. If not enrolled in a 2016 health insurance plan by Jan. 31, 2016, you can’t enroll in a health insurance plan for 2016 unless you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.
