The Hopewell Valley Regional Board of Education is seeking the community’s thoughts on the scheduling of spring break for the next three years.
A survey has been posted on the school district website.
“For feedback, we’re asking the community to click on the survey and say when they would like to see spring break,” said Lisa Wolff, the school board president, at the Monday board meeting. “We narrowed it down to two different weeks.”
Specifically, the board is asking whether there is a preference for spring break vacation to take place during the last week of March or the first full week of April. For example, in 2016-17, spring break would be either March 27-31 or April 3-7.
“People need to click on that survey by Jan. 22,” Ms. Wolff said. “Most of the community has gotten an email about it already.”
The survey will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22.
The school calendar survey can be found on the Hopewell Valley Regional School District website at www.hvrsd.org under the heading News & Announcements.
Drafts of school calendars for years 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19 are available in PDF file format, also via the school district website.
The Board of Education will review the calendars at its February meeting.
