St. John’s Nursery School was established in 1966 as a weekday Christian education program for preschool children.The school is celebrating its 50th year serving the Bayshore area. They offer morning and afternoon classes for children ages 2 ½ to 5 years of age. The curriculum includes individualized and small group instruction. All classes use a developmentally appropriate curriculum of learning activities. Learning centers such as water tables, dress up, writing, science and math enhance the curriculum. Students attend a weekly music and movement class. Spanish lessons are taught to the pre-K classes. Two outdoor playgrounds and an indoor gym foster gross motor development. The school year is enhanced by special guests, family programs and field trips. Extended care is available on any school days between the hours of 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for any child enrolled.
