St. Francis Cathedral School third-grade students recently used technology, geography, and some stellar detective work as they played “Mystery Skype” with another third-grade class from around the world. Using the SMART Board, iPads and HP Netbooks, they were able to see and hear the other class as they gave them clues about where they were located. After a lot of hard work and help from the amazing World Book Online atlas, they discovered they were Skypeing with a class in Ontario, Canada. It was a fun learning experience for the entire third grade. This is one of the exciting ways the students are using technology to enhance learning in school. St. Francis Cathedral School educates children from Pre K to eighth grade. They offer full- and part-time Pre-K for 3 and 4 year olds and a full-day program for kindergarten.
