Gloria Nilson & Co. closes more than $1.5 billion in 2015

Gloria Nilson & Co. Real Estate closed more than $1.5 billion in real estate sales volume as of Dec. 31, 2015. Of particular note for 2015, Gloria Nilson & Co. sales figures in all of Monmouth and Ocean counties increased by more than 20 percent.

According to reports from Trendgraphix Inc, 2015 set records in other ways for Gloria Nilson & Co. in key New Jersey markets as well. The company remained the top brokerage in Monmouth County while also increasing sales volume there by more than 23 percent. For the 10th consecutive year, Gloria Nilson & Co. ranked as the No. 1 real estate brokerage in Mercer County for total closed sales. And in Ocean County, the company increased its sales volume by more than 8 percent while increasing the number of units sold by nearly 19 percent.

“The continued success of Gloria Nilson & Co. is due in no small measure to the expertise and best-in-class service approach of our experienced sales associates,” explained Dick Schlott, owner of Gloria Nilson & Co. “Our growth strategy for core market areas and our expansion into new regions continues to yield positive results. The last two or three years have been tremendously positive for our company, our agents and our clients, and we anticipate this trend will continue for the foreseeable future thanks to sound planning and our experienced team.”

Despite news from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) in late December pointing to an annual 3.8 percent decline nationally in existing home sales compared to the same period in 2014, Gloria Nilson & Co. has experienced a banner year. According to Pat Bell, president of Gloria Nilson & Co., the brokerage insulated itself from such market trends by employing a multi-pronged marketing strategy as well as its ongoing recruitment effort for experienced sales professionals.

“You can’t rely solely on market trends if you want to be successful in real estate,” noted Bell. “You have to plan for flat or even down markets. So we designed a marketing strategy that would provide our sales associates with the best-available tools to support them no matter what. We complemented that effort by seeking out and recruiting the best, most experienced agents we could find, and I think the numbers point to a pretty successful formula.”

Part of the Gloria Nilson & Co. strategy has been bolstering its New Jersey presence. The brokerage recently added an office in Toms River, as well as making strategic hires in several offices in Monmouth and Mercer counties. In addition, the company continued to expand its Pennsylvania presence in 2015 with a new office in Buckingham Township in Bucks County.

Such efforts were rewarded, not only with increased market share and sales, but also in an expanded, exclusive affiliation agreement with Christie’s International Real Estate. Under this new agreement, Gloria Nilson & Co. became an exclusive affiliate of Christie’s in Monmouth and Ocean counties in September of 2015. Gloria Nilson & Co. has been the exclusive affiliate of Christie’s in Mercer, South Hunterdon and South Middlesex counties since 2011.

Bell said the company continues to take a progressive approach to its growth, and anticipates further expansion in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

“We’re just getting started,” Bell said. “There’s a lot more to come in 2016 and beyond.”
