What are the effects of the Yom Kippur war? Itzhak Brook will discuss the historical background of the 1973 war and its effects on Israeli society. Dr. Brook was a battalion physician in the Sinai during the war. The presentation by the Israel Affairs Committee is on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 2 p.m.
“Where is God When We Need God: The Holocaust and Other Horrors,” is the subject of Rabbi Kornsgold’s address to the Beth El Seniors on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 1 p.m.
The second annual Beth El Coffeehouse is set for Saturday, Feb. 6, at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $20 person person for an evening of live music, desserts, tea, and of course, coffee.
